While the good governance of the many aspects of the Lodge falls ultimately upon the broad shoulders of the Worshipful Master, it is their right and responsibility to appoint a number of committees to assist them in this endeavor. These committees, each led by a chairman, is responsible for one or more elements of Lodge business, relations with the Brethren, their widows and orphans, and the greater community as a whole.
The Audit Committee ensures the financial integrity of the Lodge, reviewing all deposits and debits from the accounts of the Lodge, and ensuring that the books of the Lodge remain free of errors.

The Building Committee consists of a number of permanent and annually appointed members, who are responsible for ensuring the continual maintenance, upkeep, and enhancement of the Lodge building and grounds. The Lodge's Senior Warden is automatically appointed the chairman of the committee, while permanent members are individuals with specialized skills or tradecraft that is frequently used to the benefit of the Lodge.

The Finance Committee sets the annual budget for the Lodge, monitors adherence to that budget during the year, and suggests modifications to ensure a solid financial footing for years to come. Additionally, the committee makes recommendations regarding investments and other financial decisions to the Lodge.

The Fundraising Committee is responsible for organizing and executing the several fundraising efforts of the Lodge. The Grand Master's Award of Excellence is a program designed to drive Lodge activity and engagement. Participation is voluntary, with each Lodge earning points for completing certain specific tasks. The award is presented annually by the Grand Master at the Grand Lodge Annual Communication. The purpose of the GMAoE Committee to chart which elements to pursue and to track progress towards the award.

The Intender Committee is responsible for assisting prospective or newly initiated Brothers in integrating into the Lodge, learning Masonic traditions and etiquette, and their progression through the Degrees. Comprised of experienced volunteer Brothers, the Intender Committee ensures the implementation of Grand Lodge Intender program, beginning with a prospective member's expression of interest, until beyond their being Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason.

Amongst the most important duties of a Lodge is that of educating our Brethren. The Masonic Education Committee is responsible for teaching and reinforcing the many lessons imparted by Freemasonry. Led by the appointed Lodge Education Officer, the committee selects topics to present both at the monthly Stated Meeting, as well as a special monthly discussion group hosted by the Lodge.

Ensuring the needs and responsibilities of the individual Brethren of the Lodge are tended to dutifully falls to the Membership Retention Committee. Consisting of Brothers who are trusted to ensure the needs of the members and the Lodge are met, the Membership Retention Committee, with the assistance of the Lodge Secretary, ensures that the contact information for individual Brothers are kept current, regular contact is kept, and that the Brethren are current on their dues.

The Scholarship Committee is responsible for maintaining the standards and integrity of the Lodge's academic scholarships, as well as determining annual eligibility and awards. The committee consists of five trusted members of the Lodge, each serving a five year term, with one Brother retiring from the committee each year. The Lodge's Secretary serves as a non-voting advisor to the committee.

Inevitably, a Brother will experience difficulties or setbacks in his life. Be it injury, illness, or other misfortune, a Brother may turn to the Sickness & Distress Committee to seek a variety of forms of help from the Lodge. Given the significant overlap in the types of help sought, the Sickness & Distress and Widows & Orphans Committees often have similiar memberships.

The responsibilities of the Lodge extend beyond the grave, ensuring that the needs of a Brother's widow and orphans are met. For that purpose, the Widows & Orphans Committee serves as the primary point of contact for these important members of our extended Brotherhood. Together, they coordinate the efforts of the Lodge to aid and assist them in whatever they may reasonably need.
